I’m sure that the olive experiment will get an update if/when it survives it’s repot but either way I think we will be keen to see more progression ‘in abstract ways, learning to conceptualize forms and bring out a tree’s best design’

Each video will have a checkmark in a white circle in the upper right corner showing that the video has been watched.
Yes, I know. It’d be nice to filter by unwatched so I can see what’s left in the library. Also, that “watched” checkmark is a bit misleading. Once you watch 1 second of the video it’ll be marked as watched.

I would love to see the Cryptomeria again. I believe there’ve been two streams on it, starting with Nursery Stock Vol. 2. I don’t think the entire tree got worked on either stream - Ryan only had time to do a few branches as examples of what would be done to the whole tree. I’ve been dying to see what the “finished” tree looks like!

I believe there was going to be an extended cut for that tree, but I don’t recall it ever coming out. It’s an iconic Mirai at this point.
@Sam perhaps I missed it, and Ive seen a few post related to this idea. A follow-up on some trees and my interest is sparked by how to reduce a rootball after a big angle change.
We have see Ryan work a rootball sticking high up out of a pot with sphagnum, I would like to see how to reduce this in further repot/top-layer cleanup in spring.

Hey all! I’m so excited to have had so much activity in this thread lately! We’re having a big meeting on Monday to kick off 2020 so I’m sure we’ll be covering lots of these suggestions as we start to plan streams. Responding to couple folks below -
@Bonsai_Bentley - Unfortunately at the moment there is not an easy way to do that other than the feature that @mtbakerbonsai mentioned. That’s a good idea for the future though! We’ll be doing some serious work on the site in 2020 so I’ll add that to our discussion. Also, about the hedge pruning question–to be totally honest we will most likely not be covering that one 
We like to stay away from controversy out here. Everybody is entitled to practice bonsai however they wish. However, I think there’s some commentary on it in the Walter Pall podcast episode, so check that out for sure!
@kellogg - we do have a few videos on slab planting creation in the library but for sure more to come in 2020! Nursery Stock Rock Planting is a great one, as is Beech Forest Creation. Also, on your question about uploading Tuesday streams faster: we are surely trying to do that 
Every Tuesday stream is 2+ hours of 1080p footage. That has to be downloaded to our computers which takes several hours. Then it needs to be edited, the timing of which differs based on the length and content of the stream. Then it has to be exported, which takes several hours. Then it has to be uploaded, which also takes several hours. All this is longer for our pre-produced streams, as Ryan usually has more feedback about those, so it takes a few days to get everything done (especially when we’re all technically on vacation). I hope this helps you understand the process a bit more!

How do you guys feel about a “Ryan the house doctor” live stream, in which Ryan does an occasional visit to students Bonsai gardens and evaluates the gardens health conditions, sun exposure, potential disease and pest solutions and aesthetics? I have not scrolled the entirety of the post on this topic so forgive me if this has already been suggested and if it has, I obviously like the Idea.

I LOVED the dwarf Alberta nursery stock stream because I have attempted exactly what Ryan did there and was very discouraged. He hit every snag with a fix and now I can go back and fix my tree! I still would love to see a Hinoki nursery stock stream!

I’d like to see more nursery stock streams in general. That’s what most of us are working with, but I get that Ryan doesn’t have many trees like that.

The streams that really appeal to me are those that involve initial and continuing styling with detailed content of pruning techniques etc. It’s important to me to see the trees that have been styled and worked on as they develop over time. I love the Mirai streams. I don’t think the content recently had been a a good as some of the past streams. In no way do I mean that negatively I just mean they haven’t captivated me in the way they did in the past.
