I did some research and it sounds like Android app review times are highly variable, from a few hours to almost a month. If I had to guess Ryan and the rest of the team are just as in the dark on the timeline and even more frustrated than we are! It’s coming, that’s what matters!
We are optimistic about receiving approval for Andriod very soon. Since we submitted both iOS and Android simultaneously, our current course of action is to await approval. Rest assured, the community will be the first to receive updates as soon as we hear more! Keep an eye out for the Android email, which will be sent as soon as we have an update.
Thanks! We are aware and working on a fix.
Thank you so much for your update. I know you guys are on top of it, was just wondering if Android had given you any idea of timing, that’s all.
Back to sitting on my hands
is it correct that with the standard subscription , you can only add 4 trees? Does one have to upgrade to PRO to add more?
How do we add the Tip of the Day to our Toolbox?
You can actually add 10 if you delete the general care calendars.
Hi everyone. Have downloaded the app, looks amazing. Can’t wait to have a proper look at it in detail.
I have been trying to add my trees. Only problem is if the tree isn’t in the drop down list it won’t add., for e.g. Betula pendula “silver birch” I have a few of these in my collection but I can’t add.
Am I doing something wrong? Quite possibly
Let’s see what the experts say.
Cheers everyone.
Thank you . That helps
. I though Ryan said in the video for the app that there was no extra charge for lots of trees. Its a big difference going from $17,99 per month to $49.99 per month to get space for 50 trees
My 2c is that if we wait for late February/early March that the Android version will be out and 80%-90% of the bugs should be fixed. I know it’s exciting, but we have been waiting for 2+ years past the initial announced release date, so it’s not like a couple more months should make that much of a difference especially since there is not a whole lot to do in the Northern Hemisphere (other than maybe some Pine repots) until then anyway.
Speaking as a former Computer Science major from MIT :). If anyone has read The Mythical Man-Month or has software experience, you probably know things are always late and initially work worse than hoped for.
In the meantime, I have been re-re-watching some of Ryan’s foundational videos, like detailed wiring, apical design, etc.
Most of my trees are deciduous so I’m hoping we see that expansion of content sooner than later.
Just want to say thank you to you all for your hard work getting this app together. It’s amazing how much info you’ve set up, and to have it automagically set to my part of the world really does make a huge difference. The daily vids are inspired too. Thank you!!!
Mirai Mobile is finally here for Android! Use this link to download: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bonsaimirai
I downloaded the app a few minutes ago and it installed with no issue except that when I opened it for the first time I got a message from Google that there was a bug and I should clear the app cache. I did that and then it opened up without any further issue. I haven’t added any trees or anything as yet.
Hi Mirai-Team,
finally got the app for Android and now adding the first tree…
i´m scrolling like crazy through the months of every year to get 30 years back in time… skipping the years would be nice…
and funnily enough the app changed my name somehow to the name of the credit card holder, which is not me but my friend.
No further issues by now. Thank you for all.
I had the same problem and seem to be lacking on deciduous trees
Did you try clicking on the year in the calendar? On my Samsung it brings up a year selection tool.
Great, thats working, thanks.
I was so excited to start using the Android version today. I added a few trees but now I somehow managed to nuke the “General Care: Broadleaf” calendar. All my trees that belong to that category have no upcoming activities because the main calendar is gone. I even go to “Broadleaf” and then View Calendar and nothing happens. I broke it good
I’m very dedicated to gardening with native plants from Northern California. A lot of the species I have and want to track in the app are just flat out not in the database.
Examples:
Sierra Redwood/Giant Redwood/Giant Sequoia
Sugar Pine
