Hello, I am a Canadian expat, semiretired, living in Tuscany, Italy. I am a forest therapist and have trained in Japan where “Shinrin Yoku” started. I have been interested in Bonsai since my early teens in the 70’s, when all I had to go by was a page and a half of information in an old multi volume paper encyclopaedia. I moved around the world a few times so whatever Bonsai I had growing, I was forced to leave behind. Now, here in Tuscany, I have a dozen Bonsai trees which I enjoy, and they in turn enjoy the amazing, non extreme 4 season weather here. I have been learning a lot and polishing my existing knowledge on growing Bonsai with Ryan, Love his style because I am the same way, go the extra mile and take it up a notch (or ten) in the science and designs aspects of this great hobby.
