On the taxonomy sites where I have found it, they are very clear about it’s habitat. If it doesn’t say it grows on rocky soils (hint: also often referred to as “Serpentine”) in Eastern Washington, Oregon and Idaho (I think one site mentioned Northern Nevada too), you are on the wrong track.
