Landscape rock as a container

I went to the garden centre and found a great landscape rock which I plan to use as a base for a rock planting forest.

It weighed a ton so decided to whip the stone cutter out and add lightness, but once finished, I realised it would make a great container flipped upside down, and you would probably pay a couple hundred for something like this from a potter!

Just need to drill drainage and tie down holes

Will let the pics do the talking

Looks amazing! love the 3rd from the bottom angle. Why try and replicate stones if you can find use the real stuff. I’m trying to use local stones to match locally collected trees:+1: less carbon footprint

yes agree.

Think it would make a great pot for a mother daughter composition. I just dont have the material to do it justice

At least the rock won’t need watering  something will come along I’m sure, a beech forest would match the stone colours well, maybe a mixed forest. :+1:
