I hope everyone is doing great! I recently acquired a Gingko from a local nursery and I am looking for advice on how to develop it into a bonsai. Please note, I purchased the tree discounted because it was in poor shape. I couldn’t pass it up!

I Cut my new tree back hard last summer at this time. Doing OK. Slow to wake up this spring, though. Definitly not NOT a flame style. Have to wait and see what grows and what dies back. Need to figure out the large limb die back habit when cut. Different than other decideous trees. Trying cut paste. Will advise later.
