I did the repot on a tree I had Ryan give some initial design advice on. It was a tough repot girdled roots and course all the way down. Managed to leave about 20-30% untouched. Anyways when exposing the nebari I ended up straying away from Ryan’s recommendation (obviously he didnt have the ability to see what was under the soil). So my question is, did I make the right read and get the best front (base, line, potting angle). His suggestion. (see below was to lean it the other way then wedge cut next year). I just took it in the most obvious direction which I dont believe would need a wedge cut now but I am still learning so not sure I totally trust my in the moment decision making?
Advice, critique, suggestions? what could I have done better?
