Looking for design ideas.
I have this Japanese Black Pine with nice bark and trunk movement.
Looking for input on how to proceed with next phase of design.
Now:
Option 1: Get rid of the middle-left branch and highlight trunk movement
Option 2: Make it informal upright (sort of S style)
Nice tree! I like option #1 better. Needle pluck in June and do the heavy styling in the fall.

I am no expert but I would find your best nebari then find your best base to tip movement. If you’re lucky they will both work together the tree naturally moves to left so I would reduce on right and remove Amy threes and fours and bars. S curves are to be avoided. Very nice tree. Good luck
