I hope the Apex is the right place for this question!
I’m visiting Portland in October with my girl friend as the last part of a longer trip in California. We’ve found a good place to stay, close to the Portland japanese gardens, and I’m looking for a few recommendations from any locals here.
I’m hoping to visit Mirai of course, and plan to ask to see Michael Hagedorns place as well. The Portland Japanese garden is high on our list as well, but how about places to go out in the city? Can anyone recommend good venues for concerts? A nice breakfast restaurant? A good district to have a beer or two in the evening perhaps? And are there any lighter hikes in the area that should not be missed while we’re there?
