My trident maple clump with five trees has three of the trees with yellowing leaves and the other two are green and healthy looking. They have been in this box a year now, and trunks seem to be fusing nicely. Soil ph is around 7. I water them morning and night, and still drains well. Any advise is greatly appreciated thanks
Is the social drying out before you water?
Or is it staying too wet? I am only watering once a day and have some tridents in much less soil.

It may be staying to wet. It dose drain slower than the rest of my trees

If you feel it is a balance of water and oxygen issue, the beauty of a wooden box is you can drill holes in the side to create aeration.
The bottom could also be peppered with small holes to increase drainage.
Just a random thought, I use mainly mica pots or plastic cement mixing trays because if I have an issue before I repot, I reach for the drill first.
