Hey guys and gals! I would like to know if any of you are aware of Ryan’s thoughts on top dressing yamadori particularly when he discussed in the Top Dressing video the reasons it is done and particularly the issue of 30% top layer of potting material receiving disturbance due to watering and the issue of even water distribution due to evaporation from surface? The question is then Does Ryan recommend top dressing for yamadori to help facilitate better root development in one?
If I remember right, he did briefly state No in the Post-Collection Potting stream. Had something to do with we want as much oxygen flow as possible.
