Thicc and wiggly pinus contorta (lodgepole)

Hey folks, wish I had better pics but this is what I worked on last night and today. This went from 1/3rd of an Anderson flat into this ceramic container, which was an adventure in and of itself. Then, I wired it with the aims of compression and helping the the two main branches/trunks play with each other.

You’ll have to take my word that while it is a very vertically compressed form, it does have several pretty well defined pads and looks even better in person.

I think next time the angle will change but I like where it is now. It’s a start of a journey :slightly_smiling_face:

SO much of the root system is on the back side of it, but maybe on down the line :relaxed:
