Hi there. Just wondering why the bark of the satsuki azalea sold near me and that I own are not smooth… the bark is almost that of a juniper or cypress - All “professional” satsuki that I’ve seen always have beautiful smooth bark. Can i rub off this outer most bark to reveal a smooth layer or is this the species? Located near Vancouver, Canada.
Just call it cork bark satsuki and count all of the when you sell cuttings.
