Hi all—
Any recommendations on the timing to start new deadwood work on a Japanese larch that is well established in PNW? I couldn’t find this in my review of Larch videos, but could have missed it.
Thanks—

I would think that early fall would be a good time to create deadwood on larch. The tree should be active enough to compartmentalize the live edges, but in the resource pull back mode so it does not bleed excessively.
