This tree is new to me. I got it a few weeks ago. I’m in Massachusetts and we have had a lot of rain recently. Unfortunately I didn’t put it under a covered area. I’m thinking the black tips are from overwatering??? It’s in a 1:1:1 mix. Is it blight? Thanks in advance for your help!

Tilting the pot and shelter from prolonged rain may by an answer. Another blog states that scale insects may be the culprit.
