Pine wound repair video

I know I’ve watched Ryan working to reduce a stub left on a pine trunk. He used chisels to cut bark back on a stub, that should, eventually create scar tissue. The stub is left, to continue drawing sap up, and thus helping the scar tissue form. Anyone remember the approx. location? Seems like it was one of the brief video lessons, rather than a full-length stream.
Thanks

Hi Hope you mean that technique. I watched it at this stream with root cutters. It starts at minute 20.

Thank you for this, and it is so close to what I wanted, that it will probably be sufficient. As he is working this down with cutters, etc, he talks about doing it with chisels when he was an apprentice. Only slightly different from this one, and I believe this technique will work just fine.
Thanks again
