I have a JPB with an old wound that is healing well. The callus is a major junction of the tree’s trunk and is causing inverse taper. This is a young tree. I would like to reopen this wound and cut off the callus to start over. Does anyone know the best time for this? I’m guessing spring but can this be done in autumn? Thanks for the input!
