Mugo pine help with design

I would like some help with my Mugo pine. Any advice would be greatly appreciated I want to reduce branch length, but would it look better rounded or with a taller apex. Not sure if branches growing upwards will thicken enough to match existing trunk. Thanks

I think you should cut the candles next year and see how much the tree backbuds. As for design, this is just a quick idea:

I like the above advice from RomanfromAT, I would wait on any more reduction of foliage until I was able to get it into a bonsai pot.
