I’m thinking of pulling the whorl of branches at the ground to the ground and getting them to root in. And training this mugo as a clump any one else done this before?
I agree that a clump is a good approach for this tree. Pines tend to be slow to root from layers so it may be on the original roots for a long time in which case it would probably be classed as a raft.
