Hi all, did some live vein cleaning on Rocky mountain juniper and made a few small nicks into the floem. They have been oozing some sap. Does that mean it’s not the right time to be doing this work, that the tree is still too active? I have watched the live vein cleaning video and I did not see that mentioned. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Lola
I believe the best time to clean juniper live vein is in the spring, when the push of resources makes it easy to remove bark. If you are worried about bleeding you could use liquid cut past.
