Hi @Sam,
Repotting season is just about coming to an end, but I think one thing for next year maybe, that would be super interesting would be to get Peter Warren back in to do a Japanese Maple repot, or deciduous repot. It would be good to see some of the nuances Peter brings up.
Hey @darren! So funny, Ryan & I were just talking about Peter Warren last night. Rest assured - it is absolutely on the docket to have Peter back at the garden sooner than later. We’ll keep everyone posted and I’ll pass on this idea to him!
do a stream with Penjing - styling and techniques…even better would be to have someone there with Ryan that is a Penjing specialist
I’m also excited to see Peter back in action on the stream!
Juan Andrade back and more on tropical trees would be fun. Would also love to see Ryan try his hand at a succulent forest planting.
Are you guy’s planning on any more new video’s in the “Beginner Series Video’s”?
A special on “removing mounded nursery stock” would be nice.
I watched the Rootbound special, but a piece could be done on sticky clay soils and that situation you get with mounded, super thick sections of nebari.
Refer to rafi’s question! Thanks
Hey! Yes, we definitely are planning on adding to the Beginner Series. We’ve been reevaluating some video techniques so have paused on production, but are actually restarting filming tomorrow!
Thank you Sam, I am looking forward to them!
Hi Mirai Team
I really enjoy the Live Streams, I would like to see more on Scotts pine and Red pine. also developing Bonsai from Seed/young material
Hi Mirai,
Big up for all the great work!
A very talented bonsai practitioner recently bought an old pomegranate to a club meeting; in refinement for a long time and in decline with sap lines drying up. It struck me that I have never heard anything about bringing back old bonsai in decline, and wondered if you could consider this for a stream?
Kendall doesn’t work for Mirai anymore?
ginkgo,
I’ve waited so long I’ve ended up crushing egg shells to get my calcium, please help.
And you did promise a long, long time ago.
Couple of ideas came to mind today.
Dennis Vojtilla guest star demonstrating / explaining some of his deciduous techniques and design style that he mentioned on the podcast on quality material.
Could we have a stream about nebari creation for maples? See sample picture below.
Website Enhancement:
I am interested in Wisteria and more on Shohin
Weed Control??
Even to know weeds exist in Mirai would make me feel a little better lol
Would love to see more on subalpine fir or other true firs
Is it possible to develop a favourites flag in the library, this would enable go to streams to be easily identifiable?
