Green dream users from the UK

Hi, I’ve started using green dream

Is anyone here in the UK using this? My question is how do we apply this using Ryan neil’s fertiliser regime ie heavy 1 1/2 tbsp for development because green dream only advises a tbsp spread evenly across the soil surface.

Thanks

I have used this for the last 7 years or so. I stick to Ryan’s methodology around dosing. I don’t follow the label instructions. I have not run into any problems that I know of. I repoted most of my trees this year and the majority of them (all the ones showing strong growth) got their first light application this weekend just gone.

I second @Twisted here with the practice .To add: I switched to Biogold past two years and can tell Green Dream seemed to work better esp with the ericaceous options for London hard water so going back to that.

Thanks guys, i think this year i will apply it by Ryan’s practise and put the quantity in piles around the pot.

I’ve been using it (on the original recommendation of my Uncle who’s been using it for much longer) for at least 5 years and it works great for me. Admittedly I’m not as regimented or intentional as I’d like to be (i.e. I don’t yet follow Ryan’s technique) and I can say it’s been very forgiving. I apply across the surface and - where I have mixed substrate loosely massage it into the surface level to avoid birds and molluscs. When I see the surface particles dissipate I reapply. Hope that helps

Looks like Green Dream has an NPK of 6-5-7. Biogold is 4-5-6 so it has less nitrogen and is fermented chicken manure. I have used Harmony certified organic fertilizer 5-4-3 composted chicken manure (not fermented). Harmony is made near me in North Carolina, USA and costs $20 per 40lbs. Chicken manure can result in a build up of P. When testing dictates I use 15-0-15 centipede grass fertilizer or feather meal and sulfate of potash.
