i like the second and third ones the rectangle wants some lip or grove at the top . or maybe just some of the darker material up there . mostly i like that its not so formal or trying to be super perfect .
you should put something in for scale . pencell of small ruler .
Thanks thatās a great point I will add a size reference!
I appreciate the feedback, every little bit helps.
I wasnāt thrilled with all these but posted them for me to accept that as part of the process
No problem thatās what we are here for. Depending on the size the others might make some interesting kusaomono.
The smaller one, 3rd picture was intended to be a kusomo. I did a set of three in similar texture different angles and colors (other two are still drying)
I respected the advice but glad I didnāt follow it, itās a matter of taste but I donāt think it overwhelms it as all
Well I stand corrected hard to judge until itās in I suppose.
My valley oak look how that root took over lol didnāt look like that 2 years ago
that is looking great, I am dying to add an oak to my collection. How long have you had that one
About 2 years but itās probably 3 years old . Came from falls in the tomato bead
Anyone ever heard of an antler slab? 36x20 @3.5 inches deepā¦
Itās actually a birdbath, but I have a small set of antlers I made to make a kusamono with but Iād love to see a larch in hereā¦just to see what it looks like
DAMN! I know some Mainerās who would sell a kidney just to look at that thing! Really cool! Well done!
Thanks - other feedback was āthatās the most Canadian thing I have ever seenā. So apparently itās a Northern thing! It was super challenging to build, more than I anticipated
Iāve had a single (found) moose antler for ~40 years. Never considered it for a bonsai potā¦ Iāll go dig it outā¦
