Azalea Leaf Holes

I bought 2 semi-evergreen Azalea nursery stock in the Boston area. The trees seem healthy and are growing some light-green foliage. I spotted both plans having small leaf holes on ~ 20%-30% of their leaves. I didn’t notice any insects (although I am a beginner and could easily have missed something). There are no other symptoms that I can spot (e.g. no leaf curl, black spots, change in leaf color, etc).

Two questions:

  1. What should I do?
  2. Should I be concerned about how close these plants are to my other plants/bonsai in case whatever is eating them is still there and decides to munch on the other plants?

Thank you in advance,

Gary

Post some photos of the leaves. Close enough, and clear, that we can see the damage.

I’ve had some nocturnal pests affect my bonsai. You won’t always see who’s doing the damage.

Wanted to see if anyone had any advice before I start spraying with things which might or might not end up helping =). Thank you in advance!

What did you do to stop the pest when unable to ID them ?

Looks like shipping damage…
How did the summer go for these azelea?
