Made a trip to the nursery today because I was bored and wanted to get out of the house. Been looking to add a couple more crape myrtle to the garden and came across these gems. Taper isn’t ideal, but I couldn’t pass up the movement. 
I’m gonna let these hang out in their nursery pots and do the initial chop late fall or early winter. Whenever the leaves start to drop. Then I’ll build a couple of grow boxes out of 2x4’s to work on their development. $35 each. 
While looking around I also spotted this oak leaf holly. I love the structure on it. I can already see a tension design with this one. Gonna move it into a shallow bowl container early fall and then do the initial chops next spring. While it wasn’t what I was looking for and space is getting tight I just couldn’t pass it up for $18.
