Winter help persimmon

I have just acquired this Tokiwa gaki persimmon shohin bonsai and just moved to the Huntsville AL and this is an evergreen species of persimmon so my question is what is the best winter protection for this species of persimmon. Thank you

I’m not sure the exact cold tolerance of that variety of persimmon, however, the persimmon native to central texas tolerate cold very well. They dont like freezing temps, they lose branches or in some cases they seem to break dormancy later. I would protect it from temps less than 32° F by keeping in a cold frame/green house next to your home. This will provide some protection from the elements and some radiant heat to prevent super deep freezes. Could use a garage but you will need to provide some lighting since its evergreen.
