Too much water? Too much sun?
Don’t think it should be too little water. I’m checking constantly, maybe too much. The heat spell here was gross, so I tried to water more than usual.
All the other trees seem fine.

When you say “new” does this mean you have recently repotted the tree?
Looks like a very big pot for the size of tree. I’m guessing you have drowned it.
I would put it on the ground in the shade and leave it alone. If it comes back- water when it needs it. If it doesn’t, take it out and do an autopsy to see if the roots have rotted off.
We all lose trees, but when it happens we should try to learn why they died so we won’t make the same mistake

When did you do the re-potting? Potentially that was a little late and the heat spell took it out as there where not enough roots to supply water to the tree.
