These little guys are on the top soil and mostly seen walking around the edge of the pot on my black pine and ponderosa. Do I need to worry? For any help thank you in advance!
Best guess, it’s a spring tail/ soil mite.
They are harmless to the plant, they feed on decaying organic matter and live in the upper portions of the soil.
You might be keeping the soil a bit to wet.
I’d cut back a bit on water, let it dry out a bit between watering, that should take care or them.

Thank you so much for your response. I googled it and found a pic of a spring tail that looks just like the ones I have. It did not even dawn on me because the only spring tails I’ve ever seen are white. Thanks again!
