Watchlist or study plan feature

Hey there,

Quick one and not sure if this is right space for this, but thought I’d ask here in case I was missing something.

I’ve been enjoying the app and using it on and off (not as much as I should in honesty)

I want to revisit the full length lectures though, and was browsing through some of the old lectures I made a list of to study but never got round it it:

It made me wonder… is there a watchlist feature, or a “study plan” feature on the Bonsai Mirai website that one can recreate similar lists “in-house,” and save content to review later, and can be easily tracked etc?

I’d find that super helpful, not sure if others would agree

Anyways,

Thanks all

Not that im aware of I asked about something like this years ago. Woukd be helpful to not have to sort through a ton of vids when you know what you want and could save it after you find it after the first lengthy search

I found keeping track of what I’ve watched and finding what I want to watch next was difficult in the website so I built a google spreadsheet with all of the video titles, skill level, length, species, season, and direct links to each. I’ve got some other columns in there to track what I’ve watched, mark things to watch next, then columns for my own tags and notes. I could share if there’s interest. There are 590 videos in the list but I haven’t updated it since November.

Can you share that google spreadsheet? It would b e very useful to plan my study in the future.

Hi all! I made an excel file listing the nearly 575 video’s in the library because I was losing overview on what lessons I have already seen, which ones I need to see asap in relation to the current or coming season, and which other video’s seemed interesting.

The list is hyperlinked to have quick access to every video. Having them all listed is convenient to get a clear idea on what the library has to offer, and made me realise fully just how much information it contains.

If anyone’s interested, I would be happy to share the file.

Lol! Seems like we both had the same problem and took the time to create a solution, although I didn’t list skill level, duration,… Impressive to do so +500 times! :ok_hand:

Here’s the spreadsheet. To use it you’ll need to make your own copy and edit that to keep track of things. I have some instructions in the sheet that should help you.

Here’s mine. I don’t want to steal xjn’s thunder but it’s always nice to have options

Mirai all video’s

Thanks! I didn’t do it by hand, I’m a professional nerd so it was a fun little exercise.

As it stands on the website you have to scroll through page after page of stuff you’ve already seen, or maybe not, did you watch that already, can’t remember, oh well.. how about that?? before you find something that looks related to what you want to learn about today. With this I can just filter to the ones I haven’t watched yet, look through those, add a number in the ‘watching’ column for the stuff that looks interesting as a sort of priority queue, then filter on that and have a little playlist.

I think having a listing like this on the website would greatly improve Mirai’s usability. If you added per-user personal/friend shared notes and collaborative tagging/grouping for each video you’d really have something.

Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
