Hi Marty. Just wondering how soon I can start fertilizing the tree or should start fertilizing. Here are some pictures of it. Thanks for any advice.
I normally like to wait about 4 weeks after repotting (you are just shy of 3 based upon the posts) to start lightly fertilizing. I would avoid inorganic fertilizers to start to avoid burning the tender, young roots. I am moving to organic liquid that I will inject into my water at low dose for most trees. If you don’t have an organic liquid, soak some of your solid organic in water for an hour or two and use that. I wouldn’t want to leave it for days to avoid anything like Rayn’s compost extract issue.
It was potted on feb 12th but it sat quite dormant for a few weeks.
With that repotting date and the growth you are seeing I think you are good to start light organic fertilizer and ramp up over the next few weeks.
