I acquired this juniper in the Bay Area about 7 years ago and it has never done well. I was living in Palo Alto (Zone 9b) for about 3 years and then Los Angeles (Zone 10b) for the past 2-3 years. It has stayed alive, but has been slowly going downhill the entire time. I’ve tried direct sun, partial shade, full shade, high water, and low water and nothing seems to make a difference. I’m guessing it has something to do with the absence of super cold nights, but hoping to see if anybody has other thoughts before I throw in the towel and try to get rid of it.
