Thank you for your thoughts! It is not a Satsuki, it is a swamp azalea, which as I have now learned is deciduous. I plan to re-pot it into Kanuma in the Spring. Thanks again!

Update on this azalea for which I was worried last year. Did prove to be deciduous. Re-potted in 100% kanuma this spring. Recovered well. Flowered this summer. Now looks the best it has since I first bought it. Will start reducing the long branches and start styling it more next spring. Thanks all again for your advice.
