A Jan Rentenaar “log” pot filled with Cyrtomium fortunei var. Clivicola (holly fern) and Zephyranthes candida (fairy lily).

Hello @CathyE: would you mind to share a pic of your kusamono bench to see how you built it? do you put something else than sand? do you put the pots directly into the sand? Thanks for your feedback,

Thank you for the compliment. Yes, I put the kusamono directly on the sand.

Here is the bottom of the kusamono tray. From the bottom up is the wire mesh, black landscape weed barrier fabric, and sand. The tray resides on a bonsai bench.

Little thought I have: I will not see the ceramics and ceramics are THE excuse to have kusamono and bonsai for me! I just can’t resist to expand my collection … :grin:
