Shohin Oleaster advice

Hey guys. I’ve had this olive for a couple months now. Got it for the ridiculous trunk, but now I see it has a huge base too (after water washed away soil piled onto the base). The side where the base is visible also has a very skinny section of the trunk obscuring it. The trunk overall is skinny and thus has poor taper.

What are your thoughts about my options with this tree? What front do I use? Any styling advice?

Here’s a few pics:

The tree looks like it has great movement. I think I would just work on ramification. Maybe remove some branches but I love the tree. Bonsai on!

I like the second image as the front. It would be great to see a current picture.

I wonder if you could grow it out some and let it thicken more from the base. Perhaps let some lower buds run wild if any form from the base.

The base is plenty thick. It’s the trunk above that’s thin. You might not be able to see it from the pictures though. Anyway, yeah, I repotted it into a grow box and letting it run wild. Hopefully it’ll look better when it thickens and I’ll just make my design decisions then.
