We’ve had a bunch of snow recently here in NW Washington, and a large japanese maple in our yard had a fairly large branch break under snow weight. I noticed last night that it is bleeding down the trunk. What can I do for it?
Sphagnum moss wrapped around the wound will help slow the bleeding.
Secure it in place with plastic or wire or both.
plastic, like saran wrap?
Sure. Anything that will help hold the sphagnum in place for a few weeks.
