Japanese flowering plumb cuttings

So someone that does business with my wife gave her the as japanese flowering plumb as cut flowers so I was promoted to striking cuttings . Seems it’s better to do it early winter. But here they are so I stuck them with rooting hormone in fin acadama. Is there anything else I can do to help with my wing and a prayer. I did remove the blooms as that’s probably eating energy and water and there are some leaves just starting to emerge.

Ps any idea of the verity?

Put them in a sealed plastic container to stop dehydration, and leave it alone. Protect it from frost and direct sunlight and wait.

How long should I wait and what signs should I be looking for? Photo of the cuttings in bags

If it takes it should start pushing growth. Then after about 3 sets of leaves start poking holes in the bag. Take it slow. They are hard to propagate from cuttings but I’ve done it before once.

Ok I’ve heard that are tuff to strike. But I’m at basically zero cost so why not try.

I have really good successful rooting plants with water and willow cuttings together
