here is the front and back of my ~10yr old elm. I have been letting it grow out with minimal pruning for the past ~8 months. Should i let it grow more? I am struggling to see a way to create some asymmetry here. I believe that yy defining branch is the branch on the bottom right (would be curious to think if others think differently) and I believe that i should wire one of the upper branches upward to create more of an apex. Any thoughts welcome and thank you!

In my opinion, not every tree needs to be highly asymmetric. I am also not a fan of the S curve in the trunk so I would probably air-layer below the upper set of branches and end up with two trees. If you choose to keep the current tree, I would put some movement into the lower branch and cut back the upper branches while fertilizing strongly. The goal being to get some back budding along the trunk that can be used to fill in the gap between the branches. I know this is not the specific question you asked, but that is what I see.
