I was cleaning moss from the bases of my trident forest trunks when I noticed large masses of dark green spheres all over the surface of the moss which covers the entire trunk. They vary in size. None of the other trees in my collection has this.
Is this just the remains of a fertilizer application done by my tree sitter this fall, or are they some type of insect eggs?
If eggs, how do I treat it? Dormant oil spray?
Thanks,
Maryann
