Horizontal stability via containers!

After years of 20+ years of wanting a good tree tattoo I realised that the stability of the ground/earth gives a tree it’s grounding and visual strength unless it’s floating or a branch in mist etc.
I’ve been playing around with precarious container designs that can hopefully deal with nebaris that won’t sit flat and add a little more tension to the composition if needed. It’s all fun and work in progress sorry if it’s a messy first post. Thanks for everything Mirai crew :raised_hands:

Really interesting ideas @WelshBarry

@WelshBarry I like very much the combination of “finished” ceramic and “rough” aspect, like if the ceramic was emerging from earth, or a volcano. I like particularly the one on the pic ending with -948. Nice inspiration! Continue the good work!

Fantastic! Is it cement for the bases?

Thanks @Diabolo I’m still learning the basics of ceramics but I have a ton of shapes in my head, It started out wanting some instability or backstory to the shape of the a tree.

Thanks @Pierre-Antoine The gas kiln is definitely a winner for randomness, Ive been doing alot of sagger gas firing which have turned out great, almost wood fired looking with more colours.

All clay and mostly electric fired @rafi :+1:
