Hemlock Air Layer

Good afternoon,

I wondered if anyone had any tips or experience with air layering Hemlock? What time’s of year are best? Do they take well?

Anything would be helpful.

Conifer species are statistically very hard to air layer because they are slow growing compared to a deciduous species.
I have read that a pine will take up to three years to complete an air layer.
Do you have access to some smaller hemlock to try?
