I was looking through the forum and didn’t come across any discussion threads on bonsai tool maintenance, cleaning, or repair techniques. Curious on what everyone is doing to keep their shears sharp
I think this has bee discussed before discussion, but there are some videos on YouTube with Peter Warren doing a good walkthrough of cleaning and sharpening tools.

Sterlizing your tools too from time to time… so on my pruning scissors I will put ketchup onto the blades over night and clean it off in the morning… hay presto lovely and shinny again. The high acid content kill all unwanted nasties like bacterior, fungi or viruses.
Sounds crazy but it works…
