Below 32 in mid spring

Looks like we have a cold spell coming in on Friday. Over night of 29 degrees.
With tgat said. Got some nice buds brewing on my pines. Limber ponda larch juniper
Do y’all advise bringing them in overnight or will they be fine for one night?

Maybe throw a clear plastic sheet on top for the night… that should limit frost damage in the early morning.

If you can not / want not to move the trees, you could also spray/mist them with water. The “ice” then will provide some protection.

I would. I lost a Japanese Quince due to the frost we had. The new growth all died and the tree was weak already and never successfully pushed out new growth. Today I scraped the trunk with my nails and confirmed that it was really dea. Since then I bring all trees with large amount of new growth if the temperature drops below 45F in the night. It’s not worth the risk.
