Atlas cedar help!

Hey everyone!! I recently acquired (3 months ago) this older atlas cedar planting.

Bringing it to my microclimate has been a change for it in climate, and isnt nearly as sheltered as it was, and I know this can initially stress the tree a bit. But its needles have started to yellow in sections!!

I’ve been extremely careful with the watering, making sure not to over water it.

But I still have no idea what’s going on here!!

Mid/late winter here, Mediterranean, 200m above sea level, high wind, high rain, high sun. 8a(ish) USDA Zone. Rainwater only gang.

It may just be shedding some of the older needles in response to the change. Are the needles at the tips keeping their color? Are the buds at the tips looking good? If so, then it should be fine.

However, you might protect it a bit from the wind and sun. Atlas cedar is native to a bit colder climate than yours although it has very bright sun.
