Anyone have experince with blue atlas cedar?

dose anyone have any knowledge or nuanced pointers on this particular species. I live in Texas and I don’t have akadoma I have been using lava, expanded shale, bark and organic soil mix. it came in a dense clay like soil from the nursery. should I stick to more of a clay soil? also any other knowledge abought the species is greatly appreciated.

Here is a stream where we worked on one! - https://live.bonsaimirai.com/archive/video/atlas-cedar-design

Where in texas are you from ? I’m from San Marcos . I been growing deodar cedars for a while now and I have found that in the central texas area they prefer more pine bark mixed with expanded shale and turface .it’s been real good for them they seem to like it really free draining with a lot moisture retained from bark and turface
