American Larch die back-

I purchased this collected Larch a couple months ago from Bill Valavanis. It was collected several years ago. Overall the tree is in very good health it appears, it did suffer a fall from the bench so don’t mind the pot situation. The lowest branch which I knew is weaker than the rest, appears to have some die back as the first flush is continuing. I also noted some minor areas around the tree with the same problem. Is this a concern? or simply that they are much weaker then the rest of the tree? Do I let them be, in hopes of proper pruning they will flush better next year? My watering and sun exposure has been has been good as far as i know.

Personally I’d guess that the branch was damaged in the fall. I’m guessing where I have circled in blue. It looks this the three branches are coming of the same primary branch? The two weak ones and the stronger? I couldn’t quite make it out but I think that’s the case. Unfortunately I think the weaker ones have had it…
