Air layer Rocky Mountain Juniper

I’ve got this big ole Rocky Mountain Juniper in my yard that I’ve been taking 1 or 2 air layers off each year. It’s about 10’ tall.

I was digging around the interior and found this branch and think it would make a good raft design. At the thickest where I would want to layer it, it’s about 2” think. Do you think it’s too thick to layer? Also do y’all think it would be a good raft?

How big would the pot need to be to include ~7trees

Yea, it is pretty long. I’d probably loose a couple branches on the right side. There are 2 branches that are hard to see, one after the 2nd from the left, and one more after the 3rd main branch from the left. If I used those 5, the spacing wouldn’t be too bad and it would be about 18-20 inches long (hmmm not including the root ball.

I think I’m gonna go for it, see how it works out
