I’m a little embarrassed to ask the question, but I’ll ask it anyways. When Ryan is talking about soil particle size between 1/16 - 1/4. Does he mean he keeps anything that stays in the sifter in the 1/16 and dumps out anything bigger than the 1/4 sifter?

Note: I keep the >1/10 inch to <1/16 sifted size for my tiniest mame bonsai (brass geology sifter…), and the >1/2 to <5/8 for the bottom aeration layer…

If you run into a set of 6 brass geology /lab sifters cheap, but the whole set. They are in increments of 0.1" usually. They are crazy durable.
Do you have a recommended geology sifter? Got a link?
