Last year I noticed the soil in the pot was not draining as well as it should be. It would also not allow water to penetrate quickly. I would have to do about 3 passes of water to insure the tree was getting enough. So this past fall I decided its time to repot this tree and get a proper bonsai pot. I settled with a drum because of the round shape the tree was giving off and since the apex would break the lip of the pot, it just seemed right!
