Quintuple Trunk Pine

I found this little guy tucked away at Valavanis’s place after the show this weekend and decided to bring 'em on home with me! I’ve got a couple questions that I was hoping some of you might be able to answer:

  1. Can someone confirm the species for me? I’ve mostly been using an app called PictureThis to identify trees and it tells me this is a Scots Pine. Is that correct?
  2. The 5th trunk seems dead to me; the foliage is brown and only about a quarter of it is flexible. Is there a possibility of it reviving down the line or should I clip it out?
  3. If you look at the base you can see these are all sprouting up out of the corner of the pot. Should I repot this in the spring so the roots can develop more evenly or should I leave it for an extra year?

It looks like a scots pine and yes that trunk is dead, no green= no life.
You can repot it in spring or even slip pot it now, after that I’d feed it and let it grow for a couple of years.
