Procumbens juniper black fungus or mold?

Hello all. I have searched around but cant seem to find anything that looks like this. It could just be mold from the nursery and nothing terrible. As you can see in the overall photo the tree looks healthy.
A few areas that look like possibly like scale insects on a few twigs but I’ll have to get a magnifying glass to see more.

Have you checked for spider mites? It looks like the foliage has the tell-tale stippling from spider mites.

Yes, I used a white sheet of paper and tapped the branches in various locations. No moving insects fell off.

It looks odd, a lot like some type of funghy , but if the tree looks healthy…
Could it be moss or algee buildup?
Try removing a few peaces and see if there’s any damage below it.

I was wondering that as well. I was planning on styling this tree and a smaller one soon. I was even thinking about doing it live on YouTube. I am a beginner so it would be fun to track my journey and also see comments about it. During the styling, most of that would all go anyway so I guess I shouldn’t be too concerned.
